Local law enforcement urging motorists to fasten seat belts

The National Click It or Ticket Campaign kicked off May 15th and will run through June 4th.

This campaign brings law enforcement agencies across the nation together to focus on seatbelt usage.

In 2022, Logan County had eight fatal crashes, four of which were unbelted.

There were twenty-eight serious injury crashes with almost half being unbelted.

The fines in Logan County for seatbelt violations are $121 for drivers and $111 for passengers.

Law Enforcement agencies across Logan County will be working extra hours to make the roadways safe for motorists traveling through the county.

Officers will also be focused on Aggressive Driving and Impaired Driving. We want everyone to have an enjoyable and safe holiday weekend.
